Thread-styles

The SELF-TAPPING THREAD allows two PVC-U window-frame-sections to be fastened to the metal re-enforcement section. The pull-out value is very high even for thinner material thickness.

The HIGH-LOW-THREAD is designed to avoid problems such as thread-stripping when fastening pre-fabricated parts to PVC-U window-frame-sections.

Further advantages are:

• increased pull-out value
• reduced radial pressures to minimize boss-cracking
• optimum drill-times
• high torque value.

The METRIC THREAD offers a low pull-out value when fastening to two PVC-U window-frame-sections or less. MAGE recommends metric-threaded fasteners when three or more sections must be fastened together. The minimum thread pitch avoids "jacking up" of the PVC-U sections during the drilling process.

The COARSE THREAD is ideally suited to applications into PVC-U or timber sub-structure, where a combination with an S-point offers low torque- and excellent pull-out-values.
