SPIT

Established in 1951 at Valence in the Drome region of France by a Frenchman and a Swiss, SPIT has been a presence at the heart of the construction industry. Based on a powder actuated tool patent in 1970, SPIT has created a range of anchors and electric tools to satisfy the strict fastening requirements of the construction industry.

In 1993, SPIT launched it's PULSA product line, an innovation of gas technology. This line has evolved into the PULSA 700E, tailored for electricians, and the PULSA 700P, specialized for dry wall applications.
SPIT has been a member of the ITW group since 1986.

Today, SPIT has more than 2,000 sales outlets and a highly-trained team of Trade Specialists. These specialists provide practical advice and technical assistance to building contractors, dry wall installers, electricians, structural steel installers, plumbers and carpenters throughout the world. SPIT opened an office in the UK in 1959 but most of the product is still manufactured in the French factory in Valence, South of Lyon.

SPIT fasteners have been used on such projects as the Channel Tunnel, La Defense in Paris, Le Stade de France, EuroDisney and several TGV high speed train lines.
