Mage Magic Dural 250 PLUS Coating

DURAL 250 PLUS is the brand name for the new anti-corrosion coating which replaces bright-zinc plating as the standard protection for all MAGE-MAGIC window screws.

DURAL 250 PLUS is an organic / inorganic anti-corrosion coating, mainly consisting of an epoxy resin containing finely dispersed zinc- and aluminium particles. The fasteners are coated by a dip, spin, bake process with oven temperatures not exceeding 200° C. This process is ideally suited to hardened drill-screws because such temperatures cannot affect surface hardness.

DURAL 250 PLUS is technically far in advance of traditional galvanizing anticorrosion protection methods, offering a resistance of 250 hours in the salt spray test or 2 cycles in the Kesternich test.

With its multi-layered coating DURAL 250 PLUS is also scratch resistant.

The important contribution to environmental protection offered by our new organic/ inorganic coating process should also be mentioned. Our process avoids any contaminated waste products such as the Cr6 poison, which are an unavoidable part of traditional electroplating/ galvanizing methods.
