Innumerable application possibilities stress different requirements on the corrosion protection of MAGE products, which, from interior to exterior applications, come into contact with corrosive industrial atmospheres.

At the same time, MAGE must meet - or better still - surpass the test criteria of their clients countries.

The following list will show you the standard coatings used with the types of applications that require specific corrosion protections.

MAGE's corrosion protection processes are continually tested in two methods, according to the criteria required.

• The Salt-Spray-Test (SST) is usually used, according to DIN 50021, on theproducts which are relatively weakly protected against corrosion (Interior applications), in this way, the environment of coast regions can be simulated.
• Products put in exterior use (roofs, facades), are generally tested according to the Kesternich test (KT). This sulphur dioxide based test is a good indication of acidic industrial atmospheres.

It should be pointed out that from these tests no guarantee of a definite screw-life can be given. Every corrosion protected fastener, no matter how good, will come under attack from the tough environmental elements sooner or later.

Only products made of "Stainless Steel", if correctly used, can guarantee a truly durable connection.
